It is known that Eritrean citizens living in the Diasporas come to visit the father land in the summer time. Hence, the summer season has become synonymous with Eritreans flocking to the homeland. Citizens living in the Diasporas, fully grasping the fact that their homeland is their only true home, have never fully integrated themselves to live outside their homeland. They’ve always been close to their nation. It is because of this fact that they were able to create a strong and united organization in the aid of their front which was struggling for independence.

Eritrea Finalized Preparations To Host CECAFA Tournament

Asmara, 12 August 2010 –Preparations to host the CECAFA games have been finalized in collaboration with all the relevant sectors as well as the people, according to Maj. General Romodan Osman Awlyay, the Eritrean Sports Commissioner.

Indicating that the necessary infrastructural, logistic and other basic provisions have been made ready, Maj. General Romodan said that the Eritrean national football team is under intensive training and that all the players are in good condition.

Asmara, 11 August 2010 - The Eritrean Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Ali Ibrahim Ahmed, held talks with the Qatari Minister of Culture, Arts and Tradition, Dr. Hamed Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Kewari. The talks focused on bilateral relations in general and the existing cooperation in the domain of culture and arts in particular.

In the meeting, the two officials also conducted discussion on Eritrea’s participation in the Arab cultural activities scheduled to be held in Qatar.

She was looking at the bust of her comrade, sculpted along that of other martyrs for an exhibition prepared by the Ministry of Defense in connection with the Eritrea Festival 2010.
